Chemical peels – Your Skin Care Tip

Chemical Peel Treatment In Vaishali

What are chemical peels?

Most of you may be wondering what may be the perfect skin care routine that will end up giving you glowing and flawless skin. As a dermatologist in Vaishali we know that you might be on the hunt, trying to choose from the many routines that other people may be recommending, because it worked out amazingly well for them. But what you must keep in mind is that a skin care routine which worked for someone else, may not necessarily produce the same results on your skin. Because different people have different skin types and compositions, therefore the same routine and skin care products tend to react differently bringing about different results. Therefore you have to make sure you find something that suits your skin type, instead of depending on products which have worked out well for others.

Chemical peels work in more or less the same manner, but they have been shown to have greater success rates, because they tend to work well on most skin types. Because a chemical peel is an exfoliating process which involves the application of a thin layer of mild chemicals on your face, and allowing it to help remove all the old, dead and dry skin from your face. This then helps to renew your skin at faster rate, and this chemical also helps with controlling the amount of sebum that is produced by your skin. All of these effects of the chemical will then help to reduce the development of acne, as well get rid of fine lines and pigmentation scars. This will leave behind smoother and fresher looking skin, making you look a lot younger, and your skin looking a lot healthier.
The dermatologist in Vaishali uses it to treat a variety of conditions such as photo aging, which is damage to the skin from exposure to sunlight, wrinkles, acne, fine lines and creases due to aging as well pigmentation from acne scars.

What are chemical peels made of?

These chemical peels are made using a variety of substances such as trichloroacetic (TCA), glycolic, salicylic, resorcinol and retinol which all fall into a common group known as Alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) which are also otherwise known as fruit acids. Depending on which type of acid is being used on the skin, the effects differ, because the penetrations of these acids vary, with some penetrating more deeper than the others. Therefore these chemical peels have been classified as superficial, medium and deep peels, which give rise to different levels at which your skin will be renewed. Of the variety of peels available, the glycolic acid peels is the most commonly used and most popular, because it works effectively on most skin types, and is commonly used for oily and acne prone skin.

What does it involve?

The application of chemical peels is not a long process, and takes about 10 minutes approximately, and you don’t have to give up your routine for the day just because you are undergoing this application. You will not be face with a lot of discomfort other than mild itchiness or burning sensation during the procedure.
The results of chemical peels tend to last many months provided that you protect yourself well from the sun, therefore it is a good investment in the long run.
